Arctic temperatures + central heating = bad times for skin. Well, mine at least. If it’s not dry as a bone then it’s giving the average teenager a run for its money in the acne stakes.
If you’re suffering too, then skin salvation doesn’t come much better than this…
Superdrug’s Swiss Apple Overnight Skin Renewal Serum was, and still is, big beauty news this year. According to the technical jargon (which I won’t bore you with), it uses extracts from “Uttwiler Spatlauber” apple cells to protect and enhance the performance of the skin’s cells for smooth, radiant and younger-looking skin.
Or so it says. Because when I started using it I noticed nothing different. Not a single thing. Until this month, that is. All of a sudden, my skin perked up and started looking fresher, brighter and a bit tauter round the edges.
I’m a firm believer in the idea that you should swap beauty products around regularly to stop skin getting used to one particular lotion or potion which will, eventually, stop working. I very nearly gave up on this product in the early days, which just goes to show how long it actually does take for a product to make its impact.
Aside from it’s non-greasy formula, perhaps the best thing about the Swiss Apple serum is the fact that you only need to use it once a day – it works best when applied at night, meaning it’ll last a whole lot longer than some other, pricier serums out there.
So if your skin needs a bit of a boost this winter and you’re not sure what to try next, then put this on your Christmas list; but remember, perseverance pays off!
